Welcome to the Iron and Canvas Workshop. We are a small, custom fabrication facility located in Fairhope, Alabama. In business at the same location for more than a decade, our skilled craftsmen create beautiful custom iron gates, railing and furniture. We fabricate welded aluminum frames and cover them in our shop with top quality, custom-fitted Sunbrella canvas to create energy efficient and attractive awnings for business or residential use.
Our custom metal fabrication shop can design and build a wide variety of items from iron, aluminum, brass or copper. In addition to our custom ornamental work, we support the construction industry by creating brackets, braces, supports and a wide variety of specially designed items for custom application on the job. From heavy-duty, galvanized brackets for a waterfront seawall to the delicate repair of copper artwork in a Fairhope City Park, we can service your metal fabrication needs.
Canvas awnings are a long-time Gulf Coast tradition. Providing shade, comfort and energy efficiency, our awnings can be hand-painted to display your business logo or street address. A completely welded aluminum frame forms the sturdy structure that supports the removable Sunbrella canvas covers. The result is a quality product which gives you years of satisfaction. We use our industrial sewing machines to make canvas roller shades, cushions and a variety of custom products and repairs.
We want to serve you at The Iron and Canvas Workshop. We can help with the design of your projects and provide a full set of detailed CAD diagrams to ensure complete understanding, communication and satisfaction. We offer the broadest custom paint services in our area and accept the challenge to match or create any finish you need. Our iron specialties warehouse contains a wide selection of custom ornamental iron specialties such as scrolls, balusters, finials and castings. We are the local outlet for several iron specialty distributors and we have an extensive catalogue selection.
I hope you enjoy our new website. Some applications are still under construction as we spend our days fabricating product and our evenings working on this venue. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to Mark Johnson of Plywood Media in Fairhope, Alabama for his expert guidance in the creation of this site. All of the good advice was his . . . all of the site errors are mine.
I hope you will give us a call and the opportunity to help you make your custom fabrication project a success.
